Recently there has been a rise in the movement to breed miniature and toy "versions" of the Australian Shepherd.
The Miniature Australian Shepherd and the Toy Australian Shepherd are *not recognized OR considered varieties of the Australian Shepherd by the following Clubs and Organisations.
- the Australian Shepherd Club of America (ASCA)
- the American Kennel Club (AKC)
- the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC)
- the United Kennel Club (UKC)
- the United States Australian Shepherd Association (USASA)
- the Canadian National Australian Shepherd Association (CNASA)
The "Miniature" Australian Shepherd &/or "Toy" Australian Shepherd are not ASCA / AKC / CKC &/or UKC registered, and they cannot be verified as purebred. They are not considered Australian Shepherds by Appian Way Australian Shepherds.
We do NOT support the purposeful breeding of "Miniature" Australian Shepherds and
"Toy" Australian Shepherds.
